Corporate Accountant

On behalf of our client who is a prominent single family office in the Oakville area, we have been retained on a Corporate Accountant search for their organization. The ideal candidate for this role would have much of the following:

The Opportunity:

This Corporate Accountant role will prepare work for all entities within the Family Office group (Corporations, Foundations, Trusts, Family members). In this position, you will be an integral part of the finance team, providing direct support to the Executive Team within a dynamic and evolving work environment.

What You Need to Excel:

  • Maintain adequate system of accounting records and controls

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and financial statements

  • Prepare account reconciliations and analysis

  • Prepare annual audit working papers

  • Monitor and manage cash flow for all bank accounts

  • Prepare monthly reporting packages

  • Prepare regular financial forecasts and annual budget

  • Assist in contract management

  • Assist in preparing detailed financial models

  • Other financial assignments/projects as required

Technical Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Accounting/Finance, or a related field

  • Financial designation (CPA, CGA, CMA) is a definite asset

  • Minimum of 5 years of general accounting experience required

  • Solid computer skills with advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Simply Accounting experience an asset

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of general administration, insurance and property management is an asset
